Anne + Brendy are a ridiculously good looking couple (you should see their mothers!), but their looks are nothing in comparison the sweet, down-to-earth and fabulous people they both are. I've been looking forward to sharing their amazing engagement pictures courtesy of one of my fave photographers, April @ Bluebird Photography.
Um, hello, how hot is that last shot???
I asked Anne + Brendy to share their story and thoughts heading into their wedding day... so in their own words here we go...
How we met
We met at Indiana University during our senior year of college - at an IU Dance Marathon Date Auction! It is surprising that it took so long for us to meet. For one, wehad many mutual friends. We also lived just a few houses away from each other on 3rd Street in Bloomington - Anne in the Pi Phi House and Brendy in the Fiji House. Neither of us were looking for a serious relationship, but some good things are just inevitable!

The Proposal
Brendy proposed on a rainy May day in Chicago. As we were both planning to leave Chicago, Brendy told me that he had planned a special day for us as a way to remember the city that we had come to love. Starting with pancakes at our favorite breakfast spot, and ending with the Michigan Avenue Bridge, Brendy took me to a number of our favorite locations in the city. At each place, I found a note waiting for me. At the last location, the Michigan Avenue Bridge, Brendy stopped and underneath a single umbrella, dropped to one knee and asked me to spend the rest of my life with him.

What we are most looking forward to
We are most looking forward to being surrounded by all of our family and friends. Since moving to the east coast, we don't get to see everyone all that often. We feel very lucky to be able to celebrate with all of the people who have made us who we are today.
We're also looking forward to dancing all night long to the fabulous band, Johnny Clueless!
Favorite Detail
Our color scheme: navy and sage. It's a pretty unusual color scheme and it has been fun thinking of little ways to work it into both the ceremony and the reception. Navy is one of my favorite colors and I chose green because it's a natural, earthy color that will look good with the park's surroundings.

The Honeymoon
We're going on a mini 5 day honeymoon to Cabo San Lucas right after the wedding and then taking a bigger trip after Brendy graduates from Grad school. We're planning on traveling around Europe for a few weeks. Our last stop will hopefully be the Greek Isles.
